Event – Homicide Abuse Learning Together (HALT) Conference

The Connect Centre has been working in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University on the HALT study which has been examining domestic homicides over the last ten years.

Places are still available at  the final HALT conference on April 28th 2022 either in person at Manchester Metropolitan University or on-line. The opening address will be given by Nicole Jacobs, Domestic Abuse Commissioner, followed by innovative films and i-poems generated by interviews conducted during the HALT study with survivors of domestic abuse and family members who have lost a relative to domestic homicide. You will be given an overview of the study’s key findings.

In the afternoon there are four workshops (please select one), followed by a Round Table discussion. Panellists for the Round Table include the Domestic Abuse Commissioner’s Office, Head of Public Protection, Greater Manchester Police, the Home Office, AAFDA, an experienced DHR Chair and independent consultants.
