Job Title: Specialist VAWG Advocate

Salary: £29,439.00

Hours per week: 35 hours

S4S are looking to recruit a new advocate to work with Black and minoritised women, including migrant women with NRPF who have experienced a spectrum of gender-based violence. The role will involve crisis case work and both grassroots and strategic campaigning. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, with various training opportunities to support your professional development. 

We strongly encourage Black and minoritised women and/or women with first-hand experience of the immigration system to apply. Due to the nature of our work the post is restricted to women. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. 

The closing date for applications is the 12th February 2024 at 12pm and interviews will take place the week beginning the 19th February 2024.

The ideal Candidate will provide information, advice, support and advocacy work on all  forms  of  gender  based  violence faced by migrant women,  including  forced  marriage,  rape  and  sexual  abuse,  honour  based  crimes  and  related  issues  such  as  immigration/asylum  and  no  recourse  to  public  funds,  matrimonial  and  children,  housing  and  homelessness,  mental  health  and  financial  matters.  Your casework will focus  on  women  with  complex  needs.
