Job Title: Domestic Abuse Worker (2 positions)
Salary/ Rate: A competitive salary of £23,023 – £23,953
Location: 60-62 Nelson Street, Manchester, M13 9WP
Hours:  35 hours per week 

The Pankhurst Trust brings together Manchester Women’s Aid and the Pankhurst Centre. As a Domestic Abuse Worker, you will:

· Work with other professionals in the Early Help Hubs to deliver emotional and practical support to victims of domestic abuse.

· Deliver the Step2 Recovery programme to victims and deliver appropriate interventions.

· Work with individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence and abuse through provision of culturally informed and barrier free practical and emotional support.

· Work with other service providers, agencies, specialist services and volunteers to achieve positive outcomes for service users.

To be successful as a Domestic Abuse Worker you will need to:

· Have a minimum of GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics

· Have experience of working with a vulnerable client group

· Understanding and awareness of child protection, vulnerable adult’s protection and safeguarding

· An understanding of how to make safeguarding referrals.

· Have a good level of knowledge and understanding of statutory and legal provision for people experiencing domestic abuse

· Be an excellent communicator both written and spoken, and be an empathetic team player

· Have excellent levels of numeracy, literacy, report writing and IT skills
