About us:

PTMWA is a women-led organisation whose vision is to ensure that people, suffering, or at risk of domestic abuse receive appropriate support. We assist recovery by providing safe accommodation, specialist support services and by working in partnership with other agencies. We also run the only museum dedicated to telling the story of women’s fight for the right to vote at our Pankhurst Centre headquarters.

About the role:

All roles are subject to a DBS check, and we seek 2 x references, 1 of whom must be your current employer if applicable

Connect Worker – 2 roles available

The post holder will work with other professionals in the Early Help Hubs to deliver emotional and practical support to victims of domestic abuse. You will deliver the Step2 Recovery programme to victims and deliver appropriate interventions.

You will work with individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence and abuse through provision of culturally informed and barrier free practical and emotional support.

You will work with other service providers, agencies, specialist services and volunteers to achieve positive outcomes for service users and raise awareness of domestic abuse issues through support and training for professionals

This role has been assessed and confirmed as open to women only under the Equality Act 2010, schedule 9, part 1

Hours of work: 35 per week covering the hours of 9am-5pm

Salary: £23,023 per annum.

Start date: As soon as possible

Duration: Permanent (subject to funding)

Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays, pro rata for part-time workers
