Job Title: Domestic Abuse Support Worker
Salary/ Rate: £23,109 per annum, with a 4% rise upon successful completion of probation
Location: Stockport

Hours: 37 hours per week
Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse. We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.
We are looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our Community team, working as part of a partnership with Talk Listen Change (TLC), Age UK Stockport and Stockport Homes. This worker provides a single point of contact, and works with people to reduce the risk of domestic abuse and support the development of healthy relationships.
Main purpose of the post:
• Provide advice, guidance, and challenge to build resilience and ensure people have networks in place to self-manage and live independently for the future.
• Help people find their own solutions, and co-develop personal plans to motivate people to achieve their goals and improve their wellbeing and independence.
• Work innovatively and where necessary assertively with people to help them achieve agreed outcomes, building upon their existing strengths and support networks.
