Research Project – Revealing Reality – Intimate Image Abuse

Revealing Reality, an independent research agency, are running an important research project. They have received funding from the Home Office to carry out a research project into intimate image abuse. It is important that your voices and experiences are captured in this research.

The project will research the drivers behind intimate image abuse amongst young people and potential links between this type of image sharing and other abusive behaviours. The aim of the work is to provide the Home Office with actionable recommendations to reduce prevalence of non-consensual and harmful behaviours amongst young people.

Taking part in the research would involve a 2-hour interview, which would be held either online or at your home. People who take part in an in-person interview will receive an additional £25.

The project aims to interview survivors and perpetrators, between the ages of 16-24. Participants will receive £50 for a remote interview, and £75 for a face-to-face interview.

If you know someone who would be relevant for the project and are interested in taking part, please ask them to contact Matilda at matilda.curson@revealingreality.co.uk

In the interview we’ll discuss your use of technology and the role and impact that you think sexting and sharing nudes has on young people’s relationships.

If you would be interested in taking part in the research, please fill in this google form.
