Job Title: Advocacy Worker – Saheli Champa Champion Project
Salary/ Rate: £23,000 (pro-rata) Actual £18,400
Location: Greater Manchester

Hours: 28 hours per week

Saheli supports women and children experiencing domestic abuse, from Black Asian and Minority communities. Saheli (meaning friend) is committed to creating a safe space, providing culturally sensitive support, language assistance and a voice and identity to Black and Minoritised women facing violence in their lives.

Job Purpose:
To provide advocacy support to Saheli Champa Champion Project service users and to work with the Partnership which offers services and support to Black, Asian and Minoritised women and girls across Greater Manchester, Rotherham and Blackburn. Providing outreach, Advocacy and Helpline support to women experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based violence including migrant women with no recourse to public funds.

The partnership is made up of four Black, Asian and Minoritised women’s organisations; Saheli, Apna Haq, Humraaz and Rochdale Women’s Welfare Association. You will be based in Saheli and be part Saheli Champa Champion team and work in partnership work with four partners.
