Location: Mobile across all areas of Manchester

Hours: 35 per week (rota shift working) including some evenings to 8pm and some weekends.

About us:

PTMWA is a women-led organisation whose vision is to ensure that people, suffering, or at risk of domestic abuse receive appropriate support. We assist recovery by providing safe accommodation, specialist support services and by working in partnerships with other agencies. We also run the only museum dedicated to telling the story of women’s fight for the right to vote at out Pankhurst Centre headquarters.

About You:

PTMWA are looking for enthusiastic women who have transferable skills. As this is a trainee role we don’t expect you to have experience or knowledge of DVA services, instead, your emotional resilience and the ability to listen to others will be essential along with an interest and willingness to learn.

About the role:

This role will learn and develop knowledge in DVAs over a 12-month period. You will build on existing skills and experiences to successfully work with clients with complex needs referred into PTMWA services. The trainees will learn skills that directly and positively impact on the lives of survivors of domestic violence and abuse and women and girls in particular across Greater Manchester. The post holder will advocate on behalf of our clients and work with other staff to provide a flexible and responsive extended hours service.

RISE Work and Skills Trainee- more than one role available.

This role has been assessed and confirmed as open to women only under the Equality Act 2010, schedule 9, part 1

Hours of work: 35 per week (rota shift working) including some evenings to 8pm and some weekends.

Salary: Real living wage, currently £9.50 per hour.

Duration: 12-month fixed term contract. On successful completion of 12 month training programme a permanent role may be offered dependent upon qualifying assessment (funding dependent).

Location: Mobile across all areas of Manchester City.

Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays, pro rata for part-time workers.
