News – Black and Minoritised Women’s Fund – Applications for £10,000 grants are open

Applications for £10,000 grants are open. These grants are to help Black and minoritised women’s organisations, led-by-and-for women, which have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, to support women and girls, dealing with the impact of Covid-19.

Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) are really keen to fund small organisations that have limited access to funds and without funding core costs may consider reducing services or closing.

You will already be doing great work to support local women and girls or recently started to assist communities impacted by Covid-19. You should have a track record of being well run and have a good understanding of the needs of women and girls. You should be ready and able to deliver services.

The grants can be used for work that supports Black and minoritised women and girls to deal with the impact of Covid-19. Grants can be used for unrestricted costs: Grants are made towards the general running costs of your organisation, most often referred to as core costs.

Grants can be used towards salaries, rent, utility bills, IT costs, insurance,  training, freeing senior staff time to work on strategic developments, developing new programs and services in response to changing context of Covid-19, governance activities and fundraising support for example; essentially to keep applicant organisations working through the pandemic or working toward recovery.
