Job Title: Project Coordinator – Champa Champion Project
Salary/ Rate: £28,000 pro rata
Location: Greater Manchester, Rotherham and Blackburn
Closing Date: 6pm 10th September 2021
Hours: 35 per week (Some evening and weekend work required)

Saheli supports women and children experiencing domestic abuse from Black, Asian and Minority communities. Saheli (meaning friend) is committed to creating a safe space, providing culturally sensitive support, language assistance, and a voice and identity to Black Asian and Minoritised women facing violence in their lives.

Job Purpose:

To co-ordinate and develop the Champa Champion Project and Partnership which offers services and support to Black, Asian and Minoritised women and girls across Greater Manchester, Rotherham and Blackburn. Providing outreach, advocacy and helpline support to women experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based violence including migrant women with no recourse to public funds.

The partnership is made up of four Black Asian and Minoritised women’s organisations; Saheli, Apna Haq, Humraaz and Rochdale Women’s Welfare Association. You will be based in Saheli and manage the Saheli Champa Champion team, leading on partnership work.
