Social Media Campaign – Respect – #DrawTheLine

The Let’s #DrawTheLine campaign went live from Monday 7th September 2020 to encourage perpetrators of domestic abuse to recognise their abusive behaviours and to reach out for support to change. Respect has extended its helpline hours and is revising the advice given to perpetrators. 

The campaign calls out a range of abusive behaviours while raising awareness about the impact these behaviours have on victims. 

Domestic abuse services have experienced a significant impact from Covid-19 restrictions. In May 2020, the Respect Phoneline received 70% more calls and 64% more emails than in May of the previous year. In June 2020, we received 59.75% more calls and 32% more emails than in June of the previous year.
