Female Genital Mutilation

Greater Manchester Female Genital Mutilation Strategy.  New Economy has drafted the Greater Manchester (GM) Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Strategy, in collaboration with the GM FGM board and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for GM.  This strategy focuses on specific aspects of awareness raising and care for victims which do not relate to physical needs. Provision for the health needs of FGM victims remains the responsibility of Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and National Health Service England (NHE), as outlined in the guidance published by the Department of Health (DoH) in “Commissioning Support for Women and Girls Suffering FGM”. 20161014 GM FGM Strat
