About

Across Greater Manchester services are working together to stop domestic abuse and help anyone concerned about abuse to find out about help for themselves or for friends and family. These services include Helplines, Women’s Aid, Police, Victim Support, Housing Services, Education, NHS, Independent Domestic Abuse Advisers, Relate and Probation.

2010 is the first time Greater Manchester has come together to work on a campaign to raise awareness of domestic abuse, challenge attitudes and encourage reporting. It was decided that a single campaign would be far more effective in terms of impact and cost. The initial campaign has been timed to coincide with the start of the World Cup as evidence suggests domestic abuse rises during major football matches. It is hoped this will lead to further collaborative working in the future.
