Background Information

Fortalice was established in 1977 to provide emergency accommodation and support for women and children experiencing domestic abuse within their own homes.

The organisation has expanded over the past years and now provides a wide range of services for women, families, children and young people within both the Refuge and the Outreach Support Centre. The ethos of Fortalice in relation to support is to focus on self-help, promoting self-esteem, confidence and independence to enable women to break free from abusive relationships and reduce the chance of re-victimisation thus moving on to a self-sustaining, independent life.

Administrator/Volunteer Coordinator

Temporary contract, subject to review after 6 months

28 hours, with the possibility of 35 hours

£11.27 per hour

Due to increased funding opportunities, Fortalice have the opportunity to recruit an Administrator/Volunteer Coordinator to join our dynamic, hard-working team. The new post involves managing recruitment and induction processes for staff and volunteers. Purpose of the role:

· To manage systems and processes which include recruitment and placing volunteers across the organisation

· Monitor and audit the organisations admin processes, for example training records

Key skills:

· Knowledge and empathy with the aims and objectives of the organisation and issues relating to domestic abuse

· Experience of recruiting and monitoring volunteers and staff

· Quality assurance of recruitment and induction processes for staff and volunteers
